About the Rescued by Bowerbird Label... Rescued by Bowerbird is an eclectic mix of our very own creations and re-worked vintage garments. It is especially designed for the girl who is truly passionate about her vintage fashion and wants to stand out in a unique, funky one-of-a-kind design. The Rescued label is all about keeping the original vintage design and fabric as key components while deconstructing the garment to give it a unique, more contemporary feel without compromising its authenticity.
In addition to the reworked vintage dresses there is also a little range of vintage inspired dresses and skirts from beautiful vintage fabrics or recycled fabrics that I’ve sourced over the years.

Breathing new life into old garments is a small but positive step in helping to minimize the damaging effects that the global apparel industry has on our already strained environment. It is wonderful to see that there are many fashion designers now thinking about environmental and social sustainability. The on-going trends toward reworked vintage garments and recycled and eco friendly fabrics means that we no longer have to sacrifice style for sustainability!
