Who is Bowerbird?

Bowerbird is the product of a life time obsession with vintage fashion and Accessories! The idea was to bring fabulous, unique and affordable vintage fashions to like minded women who adore dressing up and also
love the idea of owning a beautiful, wearable piece of history.

The other reason was to offer women a more sustainable, environmentally aware option
for dressing. The truth is that the global fashion industry is contributing to the environmental issues our planet faces today.  Through recycling, reinventing and reliving vintage fashion we can help make a difference for future generations. 

As well as beautiful vintage fashions and accessories, I have also launched my own range of
hand sewn reworked vintage and vintage inspired garments called Rescued by Bowerbird. The label is all about keeping the original vintage design and fabric as key components yet deconstructing the garment to give it a unique, more contemporary feel without compromising its authenticity.

Apart from the Rescued by Bowerbird label, Bowerbird also regularly features other young designers doing fabulous things with recycled fabrics and/or using vintage garments in their ranges. Bowerbird Vintage will continue to sell great quality vintage clothing with an emphsasis on gorgeous vintage dresses and vintage evening wear. We also stock vintage and contemporary jewellery and accessories.

I carefully select all products with an eye for craftsmanship, and those small details that set it apart from the rest. I'm always on the lookout for that certain something that makes an item truly unique and very special.

All vintage clothing and accessories at Bowerbird have been sourced by me both locally and throughout Australia and New Zealand during my frequent buying trips. They are all hand washed or dry cleaned and restored (where possible) to their original glory or transformed into something new and fabulous in the "Rescued by
Bowerbird" label.
