Thank you to everyone who participated in  the Bowerbird Design Forum to rework THE STEVIE.  it's been a blast! 

As (almost) everyone seem's to agree that our fab little dress is finished and ready to wear I've placed it with the Rescued by Bowerbird Evening Wear  range where it can be purchased for $115.00

I think we have finished...but of course I need your final verdict!

To date we have:

taken off almost a metre from the lining and first layers of the skirt - orignally three tiered layers to the ankle

Shaved the billowing sleeves off - I have used shearing scissors to give the sleeves a frayed effect as suggested by a reader - a little more edgy, yes?

Added a handmade flower brooch and belt.  Both made out of  vintage silk tartan fabric (the brooch petals are made from organza)

I'm now taking the hem up for each of the three layers and it looks like trouble ahead.

The belt is made from vintage silk in a gorgeous black, white and red tartan.  The brooch is made from organza and the vintage silk also.  It is attached with a brooch pin so that you can wear it on the belt or the bodice - or not at all if you like...

I think we are starting to look very Vivienne Westwood...This little frock is screaming out for a pair of red platforms!
